The Design & Remodel
The gorgeous new design has brought this living room to life, turning a once-basic fireplace into a beautiful centerpiece where the family can gather.
We laid the foundation for the new look by swapping out the old tile for a sophisticated matte black finish on both the hearth and the surround. For the accents, the warmth of walnut for the new mantel and designed a clever ‘hide-away’ storage solution that finally said goodbye to that awkward TV cubby. Adding classic shiplap created a beautiful architectural detail that tied the whole look together. The shiplap was finished in ‘Bohemian Black’ by Sherwin Williams, which pairs beautifully with the new tile!
