The Design & Remodel

     We are LOVING this newly remodeled mudroom in Coosaw Creek, North Charleston! This custom design is thoughtfully tailored to reflect our client’s vision and lifestyle. During this design process, we collaborated to create solutions, refine details, and ensure every aspect of the project was thoughtfully planned before construction began. To help visualize the final results, we provided a detailed digital rendering featuring the layout and selected materials. Our final design renderings for this mudroom are included in the photos!  

     Our team installed a Shaker Sand custom cabinetry package designed to maximize both organization and functionality. This mudroom has everything from hidden backpack hangers and dedicated household storage to a custom washer/dryer area with built-in laundry storage. On the right-hand side, we incorporated a spacious pantry for food storage, creating a custom space truly designed to meet our clients’ unique needs.
     To add timeless character and visual interest, we installed a gorgeous alternating checkerboard-pattern tile floor using Daltile Mirasol Bianco Carrara and Daltile Mirasol Silver Marble porcelain tile. We continued the checkerboard tile flooring into the adjacent bathroom, creating one seamless, cohesive space.
     We added color! We color drenched the walls, ceiling, trim, and doors in a custom color that perfectly complemented the Shaker Sand cabinetry, allowing the elements to flow together beautifully. To add depth and subtle visual variation, we used different paint sheens on each surface while maintaining a seamless monochromatic design. Additionally, we installed a glass pocket-door between the mudroom and the kitchen, allowing just the right amount of natural and ambient light to flow through, keeping the mudroom bright and open while still providing subtle separation from the main living area.
     While onsite transforming their GORGEOUS mudroom, we also took on a fun little fireplace project! We built a custom platform for a freestanding fireplace, complete with a custom trim surround in the formal living room. While our clients are deciding on the perfect paint colors to wrap things up at a later date, our part of the transformation is all finished! This unique feature adds incredible charm and character, making an already beautiful room even more gorgeous.  
     We are so grateful for this opportunity and to share the final results!
